Chilli Soya Chunks in gravy, goes amazing with Vegetable Hakka Noodles or any Fried rice. Dry Chilli Soya Chunks is a super tasty appetizer and you won’t need anything with it. But you can still try the dry Chilli Soya Chunks with Hakka noodles for a change. It would take the taste of noodles to another level.
Soya chunks are very good source of protein and carbohydrate. They are full of calcium and iron. It is very good for children too.
In this recipe, I have used all-purpose flour to prepare the batter. Few people use corn flour or Arrow-root to prepare the batter as well. You can use any one of these according to your preference. I have used Garlic powder in the batter. If you don’t have it, no need to worry. Instead of garlic powder, you can use garlic paste in the batter. To prepare this batter you can use egg, but I didn’t use it. Because I have dedicated this dish to my Pure Veg friends and I have stuck to prepare a pure Veg Indo-Chinese appetizer.
I have not used green Chillies in this preparation because I prefer less Chilli-Hot preparations. I have used red Chilli powder, Chilli sauce and black Pepper powder in this dish. If you like, you can add green Chillies according to your preferable taste. To make the dish colourful and pleasant, I have added green, yellow and red Bell Peppers.
I had this dish first time when I was in Pune. One of my friends had invited me after my marriage and I absolutely loved the preparation. We normally have Chilli Paneer and Chilli Chicken as appetizers. But after that event, it has become my common appetizer during the weekends. You must try it once to believe me.
I have already shared many other Indo Chinese recipes. You can check few of them like
