How to make Salt and Pepper Babycorn?
To prepare the salt and pepper baby corn, first cut baby corns into medium pieces and wash them nicely. Then transfer the baby corn pieces into a mixing bowl.
Add all-purpose flour, corn flour, salt, pepper into the bowl and mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Sprinkle some water over the baby corn so that the flour sticks to them nicely.
Put a pan on the stove and add enough oil to deep fry the baby corns. Once the oil is hot, add the coated baby corns into the pan and fry them in medium flame. After 2-3 minutes, turn them. Fry them evenly till golden brown. Transfer the fried Baby corn nuggets to a tissue-lined plate.
Then add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil to another pan. Once the oil is hot, add garlic to the pan and fry them till golden. Add onions and sauté in high flame for 2-3 minutes till it has become translucent.
Add green chillies and give a stir. Then add the baby corn nuggets into the pan and mix it well. Cook it over high flame for a minute.
Add salt, pepper powder and mix it well. Cook it over high flame for a few more seconds and then switch off the flame.

1 Cup = 250 ml
For the baby corn nuggets
- 200 grams Baby corns, cut into halves
- 1 tablespoon Corn flour
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose Flour
- ½ teaspoon black Pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Water, to prepare the batter
- Oil to deep fry the baby corns
Other ingredients for the recipe
- 1 Onion medium, diced and layers separated
- 1 tablespoon of Garlic, finely chopped
- 1-2 green Chillies, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon crushed black Pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Cut baby corns into medium pieces and wash them nicely. Then transfer the baby corn pieces into a mixing bowl.
