How to make Chinese Lemon Chicken?
For Chinese Lemon Chicken Healthy, we always need to take the healthiest part of the chicken i.e. breast pieces. Always use boneless and skin off breast pieces for the best result of the recipe.
One of the important parts of the Lemon Chicken Chinese recipe is to marinate the chicken properly. I have marinated it with salt, black pepper, soya sauce, corn starch, lemon juice, white vinegar and egg. I have marinated the chicken for twenty minutes.
In the authentic preparation, Chinese Shaoxing wine is used to marinate the chicken but I have skipped it. Many people do not prefer to use wine in cooking. So, I have prepared the dish so that everyone can eat and prepare it. I have substituted the Chinese Shaoxing wine with white vinegar.
For the crispy coating of the Lemon Chicken I have used the mixture of all-purpose flour, cornflour, baking powder and salt. This combination of flour will give you a perfectly crisp chicken fry.
I put the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture and coated them for deep frying. In restaurants, these chicken pieces are fried twice. Once, all of the chicken pieces are fried, they repeat the process once again. This process makes the chicken crispier.
But sometimes it become difficult to follow this step at home. For that I have another solution for you. If you fry the chicken fully and perfectly to deep golden-brown colour at once, then it hardly matters after it gets coated with the Lemon sauce.
For the Lemon sauce of the Lemon with Chicken, I have added sugar, salt, lemon juice, honey, cornflour and the hero of the sauce lemon zest in water. I mixed all the ingredients together and then boiled it to the desired consistency to make the sweet & tangy lemony sauce. Each ingredient is equally important and has its own importance in the sauce. The cornflour gives thickness to the sauce whereas Honey makes the sauce both sticky and sweet at the same time. Lemon zest gives an extraordinary lively lemony flavour to the sauce.
