In traditional way, it is prepared with chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapeno, lemon juice and seasoning. It is less liquid and chunky in texture as compared to others. It is mostly served as a side or salad with main course.

Add finely chopped red onions, coriander leaves, garlic, jalapeno or green chilli one by one into the mixing bowl.
I always prefer to use red onion for the recipe. It gives better flavour and texture to the tomato salsa recipe.
Then squeeze some fresh lemon juice into the bowl. Add generous amount of salt, crushed black pepper, pinch of oregano for flavouring and mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a fork or spoon.
Finally, at the end, add some virgin olive oil for the extra flavour and mix it well.
