According to me, no cook recipes are great relive for these days like different kind of smoothies, salad recipes etc. and peanut chaat is a perfect fit for the season. In fact, this Indian snack recipe healthy could be a perfect fit for any busy day.
Peanut chaat recipe is known by different names in the different parts of India. In few places, it is popular as peanut chaat masala because of its spicy taste. Other than these, it is also known as groundnut chaat, boiled peanut chaat, peanut salad etc.
Indian street food has always been a centre of attraction in Indian cuisine. Especially, recipe for chaat plays a remarkable and unforgettable part in it. Variations in Peanut chaat

- You can add puffed rice aka murmura as well into the chaat.
- To make the peanut chaat spicier, you can add tamarind chutney or green chutney as well into it.
- Many people add grated raw mango into the chaat for extra tangy taste.
- Few people use readymade roasted peanuts too instead of boiled peanuts for the recipe.
How to make peanut chaat?
To prepare the boiled peanut chaat, first take a pressure cooker and add the peanuts into it. Then add salt, turmeric powder, water into the cooker and give a nice stir. Close the lid of the cooker and pressure cook over medium flame till 3 whistles. Then put the cooker down and allow it to rest till the pressure releases completely. Open the lid of the cooker and strain the peanuts with the help of a strainer and keep it aside.
Chop all the veggies like onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, green chillies, boiled potato and assemble all the ingredients before you start preparing the peanut chaat.
Take a large mixing bowl and add the boiled peanuts into it. Then add boiled potato, onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, green chillies one by one into the bowl and give a nice stir with a spoon.
Then sprinkle some Black salt, Chaat masala, Roasted Cumin Powder, Red chilli powder, lemon juice on it and mix them evenly with a spoon. The combination of all these spices give a perfect flavour to the chaat recipe.
Then sprinkle generous amount of sev and pomegranate arils over the top and mix. Now your lip-smacking peanut chaat is ready to serve.

Ingredients:
1 cup = 250 ml
To boil the peanut
- 1 cup Peanuts
- 1 cup Water
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Other ingredients
- 1 boiled Potato, small diced
- 1 Tomato, deseeded and chopped
- 1 small Onion, finely chopped
- 1-2 green Chillies, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons Coriander leaves, finely chopped
- ½ Lemon
- 2 tablespoons Pomegranate seeds
- ¼ cup Sev
- ¼ teaspoon red Chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon Chaat masala
- ¼ teaspoon roasted Cumin powder
- ¼ teaspoon black Salt
Instructions:
- Take a pressure cooker and add 1 cup peanuts into it. Then add ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 cup water one by one into the cooker and give a nice stir.
- Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook it over medium flame till 3 whistles. Switch off the flame and allow it to release the pressure completely. Then open the lid of the cooker and strain the peanuts with the help of a strainer and keep it aside.
- To prepare the peanut chaat, take a large mixing bowl and add the boiled peanuts into it.
- Add boiled potato cubes, chopped tomato, onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, one by one into the bowl and mix them nicely.
- Sprinkle ½ teaspoon Chaat masala, ¼ teaspoon roasted Cumin Powder, ¼ teaspoon Red chilli powder, ¼ teaspoon Black salt, lemon juice into the bowl and mix them evenly with a spoon.
- Sprinkle ¼ cup of sev, 2 tablespoons pomegranate arils over the top of the and give a final mix.
- The peanut chaat is now ready to serve.
Serving Instruction
Serve the peanut chaat recipe immediately after preparing it. Enjoy the heathy salivating snack with your family and friends with lots of gossips.
