Indian street food has always been a center of attraction in Indian cuisine. Especially, recipe for chaat plays a remarkable and unforgettable part in it. Recipes of Chaat is known for its amazing flavors, different layers of texture and combinational taste which tickles all the taste buds of mouth and dominates the senses. All these reasons have been drooling people for chaat recipes for decades. Though it is easily available in every small town, cities and villages of India, but people never feel enough or get bored of it.
The first time I had this wonderful watermelon chaat was when I went to Mumbai for a holiday with my parents in my childhood. There, a couple of food venders were making varieties of fruit chaat recipes and serving. It was quite unique for me then because I always used to see food vendors to serve chaat recipes like pani-puri, bhelpuri, papdi chaat etc. I got so tempted that I asked my dad to buy a watermelon chaat for me. I just loved the preparation. It was so juicy and delicious.
After coming back home from the vacation, I asked my mom to prepare the watermelon chaat myriad times. I still remember that I always used to refuse to eat plain watermelon and used to ask mom to prepare the chaat for me. Since then it has become one of our family favorite fruit snacks.
Sometimes, watermelons are not so sweet or not that red inside. Preparing watermelon chaat is a perfect option with those watermelons. The taste of this fruit chaat is slightly sweet, salty, sour and heaty.
Watermelon chaat recipe is very simple and easy to make. It gets prepared very quickly and can be prepared in big batches without investing any extra time and effort. So, it is a perfect snack during summer for any get together, kitty parties and picnics. To save time and effort, you can medium dice the watermelon and keep it aside to make the chaat handy before your guests arrive. You just need to mix all the spices and herbs together in front of them and serve your guests immediately. Its a matter of few minutes to make the fruit chaat.

How to make Watermelon chaat?
To prepare the watermelon chaat, first wash the watermelon and then cut them into halves with a big knife. Now, take half of the watermelon and cut it lengthwise and remove the wind and white flesh. After this, cut the red part of the watermelon into medium cubes and keep them aside.
Then take watermelon cubes in a large mixing bowl. Add black salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala, chopped mint leaves one by one into the bowl and mix them nicely. Now the watermelon chaat is ready to serve.
