In today’s busy world, many people skip their breakfast because of the extremely tight schedule of work, study etc. This is very harmful for our lives. Breakfast plays a vital role for a healthy and happy life. If we start our day with anxiety, hunger and emptiness then we will lack to give our hundred percent attention towards our job. It is not be a good sign and we all don’t want that. To escape from these problems, we need to think something smart and healthy.
A breakfast smoothie is a rapid and instant solution of these above-mentioned problems. Preparation of a breakfast smoothie hardly take five minutes of our busy schedule which is easily manageable.
When I was working in Bengaluru away from home, initially, I used to skip my breakfast for some lazy reasons which made me a low blood pressure patient. After understanding the importance of breakfast, I came up with many instant breakfast recipes and Banana Kiwi Smoothie is one of them.
Breakfast smoothie recipes are always my all-time favourite. A glass of thick and tasty drink makes me full till afternoon and at the same time I feel so lite. I am a fruit lover and always try different combinations of fruits for desserts and beverages.
Banana smoothie recipe is a perfect breakfast. Banana is full of fibre and its sweet taste restricts us from adding any excess external sweeteners to the drink. Breakfast and Banana are like two old friends who frequently meet each other on breakfast table.

Banana Kiwi Smoothie is one of my favourite breakfast smoothies because it is so very simple and easy to make. In fact, you don’t need to put any effort even to cut and peel the fruits. One more added advantage of the smoothie is it is a ‘Kids Friendly’ recipe. If your kids put their nose up to eat kiwis directly, then Banana Kiwi Smoothie will be a super easy way to make them eat kiwi in a delicious way.

There are hundreds of Kiwi smoothie recipes that are prepared all over the world. Kiwi fruit is mostly used for its perfectly balanced taste of sweetness and tanginess which goes amazing with many other fruits like banana, berries, avocado and many more.
Kiwi in smoothie is one of my favourite ingredients. It gives a refreshing green hue to the drink that makes the drink moreish. When I was in India, though I used to see kiwi fruit in the exotic fruit section on regularly, but I did not used to eat it on regular basis. But after coming to the UK, I have seen a huge liking of kiwi fruit in beverages and desserts.
How to choose Kiwi for any beverage?
- Always choose ripe and ready to eat Kiwi fruits for best results but make sure they are firm and juicy in texture.
- Press the Kiwi with your finger and if you feel that it’s going inside too easily or is too soft from inside then it’s too ripe.
- If the skin of Kiwi is too hard then those are not ready to eat. They will be very sour, and you better avoid them for smoothies.
- To find a perfectly ripe and firm kiwi fruit, if you press the skin and it yields pressure, then it’s perfect for use.

How to make Banana Kiwi Smoothie?
To prepare the breakfast smoothie healthy, first, I have cut and peeled the kiwi fruits and transferred them to the jar of the blender. Then I have added the ripe bananas into the jar.
In this Banana Kiwi Smoothie, I have skipped sugar to make the smoothie healthier. I have used honey instead of sugar as the sweetener for the drink.
I don’t like any fruit milkshakes to be runny in consistency. But that does not mean I like too dense milkshakes too. To achieve that moderate consistency, I have used 1 cup or 250 ml milk for one banana and two kiwi fruits.

Ingredients:
- 4 ready to eat Kiwi fruits, Peeled
- 2 Bananas, ripe
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 2 cups of full cream Milk, chilled
- 1 Kiwi fruit, for garnishing
Instructions:
- Cut the Kiwis into halves and scoop out the flesh from the skin with the help of a spoon.
- Transfer the Kiwi fruits into a jar of mixer or blender.
- Peel the Bananas and break them into two pieces. Transfer the Bananas into the same jar.
- Add 2 tablespoons of Honey into the jar.
- Add Milk and close the lid of the jar. Run the blender for a minute until they turn into a smooth velvety smoothie.
Serving Instruction
Pour the Banana Kiwi Smoothie straight into the glasses. It’s always better to drink Banana drink immediately before it changes its colour. Serve chilled and enjoy every sip of the delicious healthy drink in your quick breakfast.
