How to make chocolate syrup?
Ingredients:
- ½ cup unsweetened Cocoa powder
- ¾ cup Sugar
- ¾ cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Instructions:
- Take a saucepan and add ¾ cup sugar into it.
- Add ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder and mix it nicely with a whisker.
- Add ¾ cup water and whisk it well.
- Put it on the stove and cook it on medium flame. Stir it continuously until the cocoa powder gets mixed with water and the sugar get dissolved completely. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Add ½ teaspoon salt and give a nice mix.
- Cook over the medium flame until the chocolate syrup simmers. Then put the flame in low and cook for another 5 minutes to thicken the syrup. Stir in between on regular intervals.
- Switch off the flame and put the pan down.
- Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and give a nice mix.
- Allow the chocolate syrup to completely cool off and store it in fridge in a container.
