Watermelon mojito mocktail is one of the most popular non-alcoholic drinks worldwide during summer. It is a perfect summer drink to beat the scorching Sun. It is prepared with some fresh watermelon chunks & Lemon cubes, Soda, Sugar, fresh Mint leaves, and of course some ice cubes. It is mostly served as a beverage with a meal or you can enjoy it solo as well.

Watermelon mojito is a magnificent cocktail that is prepared with watermelon cubes or juice, white Rum, Lemon, Club Soda, Sugar, and some Mint leaves. Watermelon mojito mocktail is the non-alcoholic variation of it which is hugely popular too, especially on weekdays.

What is Virgin Mojito?

Virgin mojito is a non-alcoholic drink. Basically, a mojito without alcohol is known as Virgin Mojito. It is also known as Nojito.


Variation of Mojito mocktail
  • Nowadays, there are hundreds of different ranges of mojito mocktails available in hotels, bars, and restaurants.
  • Mostly the variations are formed by using different fruit juices to prepare the Mojito like Pineapple mojito, Apple mojito, Grape mojito, Mango mojito, Watermelon mojito, Strawberry mojito, and many more.
  • Even among each of the versions, there are different processes and proportions in each of them. These create differences in taste for the same drink.
  • In many places, plain Sugar is used as a sweetener. But in some other places Sugar syrup, icing Sugar, or Sugar powder is also used instead of plain Sugar.
  • In many places, they skip Sugar by using natural sweeteners.

The first time I had this drink was in Bangalore at my friend’s place on a fine summer day. I loved every sip of it. It was full of fresh flavours. Most importantly, though it’s a mocktail still it’s not at all boring.

When I prepared this drink for the first time, I was full of doubt because according to me it is difficult to replicate the same restaurant style taste, flavour, and presentation. But after preparing it, when I served this drink to my family, they gave jaw-dropping expressions and complemented my work. From that day onwards, I have become a mocktail expert among my family, friends, and relatives. Now it has become a ritual to prepare different types of mojito recipe non alcoholic during every summer.

The difficulty level of preparing ginger mint lemonade is low. All the elements required to prepare this summer drink are easily available in any grocery or supermarket. It’s a simple and easy recipe that gives extraordinary results within ten minutes.


Watermelon Mojito ingredients

Watermelon: The primary ingredient of the recipe which provides taste colour and flavour to the drink. I have used the watermelon cubes and muddled it thoroughly in a classic way instead of watermelon juice.

Lime or lemon: Another important ingredient of the recipe is lime or lemon juice which provides a slightly tangy taste and refreshing flavour to the drink.

Mint leaves: They add a cooling property, and refreshing aroma to the drink.

Club soda: Another important ingredient that provides body to the drink and dilutes the watermelon base. It gives a fizzy taste to the drink.

Icing sugar: It adds the required sweetness to the drink. Icing sugar gets dissolved very easily. So, I have used it. But you can use normal sugar or other sweeteners like honey, ground jaggery, or maple syrup, etc. for the drink.

Ice cubes: It makes the drink chilled. You can adjust the amount according to your choice.

How to make Watermelon Mojito?

To prepare the watermelon mojito mocktail, first cut the watermelon into small cubes and deseed them. Many people use watermelon juice for the recipe but I am using watermelon chunks like the classic way.

Then cut the lemon or lime into small pieces, pluck the mint leaves and wash it.

Now, take a glass and add lime or lemon cubes to it. Then add some mint leaves into the glass. Now take a rolling pin and muddle the lime and mint using the edge of it.

Then add the watermelon cubes and muddle it thoroughly to take out the juice.

Then add some powdered sugar, and ice cubes into the glass. Now add club soda to the glass and give a gentle stir. Watermelon mojito recipe is ready to serve now.

  • ⅓ cup Watermelon cut into small cubes and deseeded
  • ½ of Lime or ⅓ of Lemon cut into small cubes
  • 8-10 Mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Icing sugar
  • 5-6 Ice cubes
  • 150 ml Club Soda



Instructions:
