Difference between the brown sugar and refined sugar chocolate chip cookies
How to make chocolate chip cookies?
Ingredients:
- 150 grams semi sweet Choco chip
- 190 grams all-purpose Flour
- 150 grams caster Sugar
- 115 grams Butter
- 1 Egg
- ½ teaspoon Baking soda, levelled
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Instructions:
- Place a sieve on a large mixing bowl.
- Sieve the all-purpose flour, salt, Baking soda together and keep it aside.
- Take another mixing bowl and add soft Butter into it.
Note: Make sure no water droplets are there in the mixing bowls.
- Pour the caster sugar into the mixing bowl and mix it with the help of a hand mixer. Mix all the ingredients evenly in medium speed till it becomes smooth and creamy. Scrap the sides and bottom with the help of a spatula when required.
- Add egg into the bowl and mix it in medium speed for another 30-45 seconds.
- Add vanilla extract and mix it well. Keep the hand mixer aside.
- Add the all-purpose flour mixture (Step 2) in 2-3 batches to the butter-sugar mixture and combine it slowly to an even mixture with a rubber spatula.
- Add semi sweet choco-chip into the mixture and combine it well.
- Cover the cookie dough with cling film and refrigerate it for an hour.
- Take the baking tray out. Measure and cut parchment paper and place it over the tray.
- Take the cookie dough outside and scoop out the dough and place it on the parchment paper lined baking tray. Keep at least 2 inches space between the scoops of dough to spread during baking.
Note: If you like small shaped cookies then take out the dough accordingly with a spoon and shape it round with hands. The baking time may vary due to the different size of cookies.
- On the other hand, preheat the oven at 180°C/160°C Fan/Gas 4.
- Place the baking tray in the middle of the preheated oven.
- Bake the cookies for 14-18 minutes. For me, it exactly took 15 minutes.
Note: If you like soft cookies, then check it in 13-14 minutes and if you like extra crispy cookies then bake it for longer around 16-18 minutes.
- Place the cookies on wire rack and allow it to cool down.
- Store the cookies in an airtight container.
