How to make chocolate coconut fudge
Ingredients:
- 200 grams baking milk Chocolate bar
- 150 grams Condensed milk
- 60 grams or ½ cup shredded Coconut
- 1 tablespoon shredded Coconut, for sprinkling at the top
- 1 teaspoon Butter, to grease the box
Instructions:
- Take a cake tin or a box. Make sure it’s completely dry with no water droplets. Then grease it with butter. Line the box with parchment paper. Make sure to cover the sides of the box so that you can easily remove the fudge after setting up.
- Put a pan on flame and allow it to become completely dry. Add the shredded coconut into the pan and dry roast it over medium flame for 2-3 minutes to remove the excess moisture.
In a microwave
- Take a medium size microwavable bowl and add milk chocolate pieces, condensed milk into it.
- Microwave it on full power for 1 minute. Take the bowl out and stir it nicely to melt the milk chocolate. If it is not done, then again place it into the microwave and microwave it for another 15 seconds. Stir the content to melt the chocolate completely. For me, it took exactly 1 minute to melt the baking chocolate bar.
- Add the dry roasted shredded coconut into the chocolate mixture and mix it quickly.
- Pour the mixture into a wax paper lined box and tap the box to set the chocolate mix. Make the top even with the back of a spoon or a spatula, if required.
- Sprinkle some extra roasted shredded coconut over the top and refrigerate it for 2-3 hours to allow it to get set.
- Take out the chocolate coconut fudge from the refrigerator. Take it out of the box and remove wax paper. Slice the fudge evenly into square pieces.
- Take a saucepan and add milk chocolate pieces, condensed milk into it. Put the flame in low to medium low and stir it frequently. This process will take around 6-7 minutes to melt the chocolate. Be patient, don’t put the flame in high. It must be done in low heat or else the chocolate may burn. Stir the content until the chocolate melts completely. Switch off the flame and put the pan down.
- Then follow from Step 5 mentioned above ‘In a microwave section’ for further instructions.
