It is believed by many people that Diwali is celebrated on the day when Lord Ram defeated Ravan in Lanka and came back to Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Laxman after 14 years of exile by lighting up diya (clay lamp), rangoli etc. In most of the regions, Diwali celebration is extensively associated with goddess Laxmi, the idol of wealth, prosperity and health. But in few regions, Diwali is celebrated by worshiping Sita & Ram, Vishnu, Krishna, Kali maa and few other Gods.

In a nutshell, Diwali is the festival of joy, happiness, positivity and love. In this festival, people meet their families, extended families, relatives, friends and spend lots of quality time which engulf everyone’s soul with happiness and warmth. This enchantment provides energy and positivity to everyone to work happily throughout the year.

Diwali aka Deepavali means neat and clean decorated home, new cloths and of course plenty of scrumptious food, including sweets and savoury items. Any celebration is incomplete without food and Diwali is renowned for homemade Diwali sweets and snacks recipes. In most of the families, every year few days before celebration of Diwali, all the homemakers decide their diwali recipes and arrange things accordingly to celebrate the festival fuss freely.
